Can't remember...

There was something I was going to blog about today but I cannot remember what it was. I had some awful news this afternoon. Last Sunday, Rixfarmgirl , a good friend to me here on wdc, passed away. It happened so suddenly, it's hard to believe it is true. I met Rixy when I first signed up for a class at New Horizon's Academy, She taught some of the classes, but she was an assistant for the one I enrolled in. She went out of her way to make me feel welcome and always did or said that little bit extra to make me feel special in some way. She did those things, not because I was in any way deserving, but because she was who she was. She was a teacher in real life, too, retired now, but still giving here online. Although I never met or talked to Rixy in person, I feel I knew her personally. To me, she personified the phrase, "she was a good person." Her real name was Missy Estes, but she will always be Rixy to me.
