Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
Once in awhile when we are at the doctor's late in the afternoon, we have been stopping by Wendy's and getting one of their new salads, apple pecan or berry almond. They are very good. The berry almond has a strawberry vinigrette dressing and the apple pecan a pomegranate. The last time we stopped I was disappointed because berry almond was now "out of season" so I worried about the life of the apple pecan. I decided to make my own tonight. I used the Italian mix of greens, raddichio and romaine, a few each of sliced strawberries, cherry infused cranberries, chopped walnuts, some ripped-up sliced provolone (leftovers), some sliced red grapes, and I pan-fried some chicken tenders to slice and lay on top. Over this I drizzled pomegranate simply dressed by marzetti...ohhh, delicious. Goodbye, Wendy's. I think any little fruits and nuts you had on hand would work. I found this freelance article writing site around the end of last month and have actually been getting paid for some writing (textbroker.com). They don't pay much, and they take a sizeable chunk, but it is rewarding to be paid anything. I've written eight articles so far, and each subject has been interesting. I found out about the site right here on writing.com's blog, but for the life of me I cannot remember whose blog it was. I'd like to give them a big "thank you." Most of the subjects are new to me, even some of the forms. The second one I wrote was an SEO. I had no idea what that was, so I am keeping my brain in shape as well. After I had written five articles, I was reviewed by the site and upgraded on their pay scale. Watch out SK, competition is comin' - not. until next time...c |
