Quote of the Day:Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves. -Confucius Revenge is forgiveness's antithesis. In forgiveness there is love; in revenge there is hate. In forgiveness there is life; in revenge there is death. In forgiveness there is benefit; in revenge there is loss. In forgiveness there is happiness; in revenge there is sorrow. Revenge never produces anything good. Revenge leads to a downward spiral of more revenge. It is an act out of bitterness, which only breeds more bitterness. Revengeful words hurt both the person that hears them and the person that speaks them. Only a weak man considers revenge. A strong man is able step above a conflict and take control of the situation through forgiveness. Forgiveness ends all hate. Forgiveness ends all malice. It is easier for a man to spite another speaking revenge than it is to spite a man speaking words of forgiveness and words of love. If you have a thorn in your flesh, a person who picks at you in some way, don't confront with hate, but rather confront with love. He/she will be so confused they will not know what to do. You will have just won the battle. "A Poem A Day Contest " ** Image ID #1756829 Unavailable ** |
