Day to day stuff....a memoir without order. |
I'm almost too tired to write anything tonight. We've been at the eye doctor's all afternoon. Waiting tires me out more than anything, I guess. Jim did get a good report though. Pressure has come down from 34 on Saturday morning to 18 today, thanks to all those eyedrops, and he is seeing several things on the eyechart, so that is good, too. Back for another check in a week. Plus he had his CAT scan today, so that is over with. The only bad news is they want to wait at least three months to do the other eye, but I'm sure they know best. Now that his vision has improved, he is anxious, of course. We had a terrible thunder and lightning storm while at the doc's. The good news is that it cooled things off to a very comfortable 77 degrees. I expected to see an accident on the interstate on the way home, but all was running smoothly. So many students new to driving don't realize you must go slower in bad weather, and fresh rain on oily roads make them very slick. We usually hear sirens within minutes after it starts raining. This is the first time we've turned our air off before ten o'clock in I don't know how long. It feels good to have the door open and enjoy the night air and varmint sounds...the rhythmic chorus of tree frogs accompanied by crickets and locusts, magic in the air. until next time...c |
