Unlucky coincidence...

My Jim has been in the hospital. As luck would have it, he got sick on the very day of his scheduled cataract surgery and ,of course, it was cancelled. I brought him home late yesterday, and he is much better now. They promise to reschedule as soon as he is up to it.

And more bad luck...my daughter has lost her job to down-sizing. They say bad things come in threes...I'm waiting for the third axe to drop...yikes.

I haven't been in the mood for writing much or even editing anything. It has been miserably hot, almost 100 everyday for the past week. I'd almost welcome a hurricane...not.

Oh, maybe the third terrible thing is the market tanking. I am tied up in some stock but at least will get dividends. I'm too afraid at this point to play the cash I have. Oh well, I have too much going on to play the market anyway.

I wanted this blog to be mostly optimistic so this is going to be a very short entry. At least Jim is better and for that I am very, very thankful....

One very nice thing I did not expect...I placed third in the 30-day blogging challenge! Thank you, 30DBC Creator/Founder , for an exceedlingly jolly thirty days of blogging......
