At a loss...
Since I have been blogging from prompts for the last thirty days, I've been sitting here racking my brain about a blog topic for today. Even though the blog challenge was for thirty days and that is now finished, July has thirty-one days. I'm going to feel like a failure if I can't come up with something for today so my entire month of July will be completed with daily blogs.

I guess I could talk about the weather. We had a terrible thunder and lightning storm this afternoon...some parts of Gainesville were actually without power for awhile...not me, thankfully. I did not notice the sky until I backed out of the garage to go to the grocery store. It was ominous...really. I almost turned around and pulled back in, but I did make it to Publix and back home before the first raindrops hit. Usually, I'm not that lucky. I almost left my umbrella in the cart, but remembered just in time.

A little while ago I was reading about why a person walks with their knees slightly bent (Jim). Have you ever tried to do this? It is extremely tiring; I did not get far. The Google search says it is due to a shortened hamstring muscle. So I looked up how to stretch it. Lie on your back on the floor (impossible for Jim, he could never get back up) near a doorway. With one leg through the doorway, put your other foot on the wall and slowly scoot up to the wall so that leg is straight and flat against it. Hold for thirty seconds, then do the other leg, and do three sets, three times a week. The info said this was good for all of us aging people to do.

The article also said longevity is related to the speed of your walk. Slow walkers do not live as long as fast walkers. Well, I don't think you need to be a genius to think that one through. Better circulation I would guess. I need to get hopping to it....instead of writing about it *Smile*

until next time...c
