Nothing earth-shattering...
Prompt: Day 15: If you had six weeks to live, what would do?

This first thing that popped into my head when I read this was that Jim and I would have to talk about who would be taking care of him after I was gone. I am his only caregiver, and he could never manage on his own with his many health conditions. So that would be first on the list. I wouldn't be able to enjoy anything I wanted to do until I knew that was completely taken care of.

The first thing I would do after that would be to go to the beach and run through the waves, feel the squishing sand between my toes, and the humid salty air on my face. I want to watch all the people having fun the way I used to when I was young. I would even stay on the beach all night listening to the rhythm of the waves crashing on the sand and the sucking of the water back out to sea, feel the air turn chilly with dampness, lie on my back and look up at the stars and moon, and think of my insignificance. I would rent a hotel room on the beach, the tallest one I could find, lie in a beach chair on the balcony the rest of the night, always listening to the sea.

When I had my fill of the ocean, which might take a few days, I would come home to spend the rest of my time with Jim, talking about everything and nothing, calling our children and grandchildren and just jabbering about nothing and everything, again. I guess I'm pretty happy just doing what I'm doing right now...

until next time....c
