A good day

Today was a good day because I tried something new. I baked cookies in the microwave. I had a package of cookie dough in the refrigerator and I needed to bake the cookies before the end of June. The only oven in the house that works is the microwave, so I baked the cookies.

The instructions on the package were for a regular oven. Obviously, the manufacturer did not think that someone would need to use the microwave to bake the cookies. Anyway, I broke the cookie dough apart and put the cookies in a microwave safe dish. I set the timer for 1.25 and turned the microwave on. The cookies turned out great. They looked and tasted as if I had used a regular oven.

I still have a box of cookie mix in the refrigerator to use, so I think I will bake cookies again this week. I have to get some eggs before I make the cookies. After I go to the store on Tuesday or Wednesday, I will make cookies again. In addition, I have a couple of cake mixes to use, but I think I need more then eggs for them. I will make a grocery list before I go to the store this week.
