THANK GOD

THANK GOD—awardicon winner
[Describes why we should be thankful to god for all that he has given us.]


We must learn to thank the Lord
For all that we have now got.
When on this earth we landed,
We were but empty handed.

Thank god who gave a mother,
In His own image proper.
She gave love and nourishment,
Almost like a sacrament.

Thank god who gave us a school
Where we learnt many a tool.
Though on knowledge we have thrived,
Of it many are deprived.

Thank god He gave wherewithal;
We could computer install.
While through this poems we read,
Many don’t have bread to eat.

Thank god we can contemplate
His grace, his compassion great.
God, make us your servant true.
May we never forget You.
