Mom starts Adult Daycare on Wednesday

On Wednesday, May 25, Mom begins attending adult daycare. The bus will pick her up at 9:30 AM and bring her back home about 4:00 PM. I could have had them pick her up at 7:30 AM, but Mom cannot get ready that early. Even if she did not have someone coming in each day to give her a bath, she still could not get ready before 7:30 AM.

Even getting her out of the door at 9:30 AM means I have to get up between 4:00 and 4:30 AM. I like getting up early because I have some time to myself before I have to start getting Mom up. However, sometimes it is difficult for me to get up early, especially if I do not get to bed before midnight.

I used to be able to go to bed at midnight and get up at 4:00 in the morning, but now it is different. If I go to bed at midnight then I get up between 5:30 and 6:00 in the morning. I think it is because I cannot fall asleep immediately. It takes me a little while to go to sleep after I go to bed. I suppose I could go back to sleep after I get Mom out the door, but if I do that then I will not get anything accomplished. I think I am going to have to set up a work schedule.
