Early voting begins on Saturday, May 21, 2011

The municipal elections are coming up in Las Vegas. The general municipal election is on Tuesday, June 7, while early voting runs from Saturday, May 21 to Friday, June 3. Since I am working the polls on June 7, I will vote early. I would vote early even if I were not working the polls because we have this option in Nevada and I want to make sure I vote.

I have received my Official Sample Ballet and marked the people who have my votes. There is not that many offices on the ballet, we are voting for Mayor, a Councilman Ward 3, Municipal Court Judge Department 2 and Municipal Court Judge Department 3. All together that is six candidates, two running for each office.

I am not precisely sure which day I will early vote. Right now I am planning on either Sunday, May 29, or Monday, May 30, because the early voting polls will be close to my house. However, I starting on the 21st I will take my sample ballet with me just incase the opportunity presents itself earlier.
