Born in the Persian province whose name means light
When the first rays of morning were shattering
With dawn’s blue waves the charcoal windows of night
A child whose glory awoke hope smoldering
In souls deep frozen by dogma’s icy bite;
In manhood he wrote epistles scattering,
The perfume of unity across the Earth
On November 12, we celebrate his birth.
