You're not a prisoner (Religious)
You're not a prisoner.

Life it starts out simple
With a very simple plan
Do your best to make your mark
As you venture through the land

You see your future bright ahead
Going forward just as planed
But then the unexpected,
Another life in your hands,

You've just reached a crossroad
You must make a turn
You accept that responsibility
With very much concern.

Reward for doing what's right
Is losing some family and friends
Your future's now an unknown
Is it beginning or is it the end?

Family thinks you're failing life
Cause for you, life had been pre-planed
do you allow your pride to ignore the facts
you can never ask for a helping hand.

Deep inside you're screaming
But you never make a sound
Trapped inside a busy mind
With chaos all around.

You think you're doing what's right
Are you putting your future on the shelf
A prisoner of responsibilities
That you create yourself.

You are a prisoner
and you are the prison you see,
cause you created the guard that holds you,
to ignore your plea.

Just a prisoner
And there's no escape
Just a prisoner
Is it too late?

Had a future once, thought it would last
I can't go back, can't change the past
Responsibility is what keeps you here
There's no where to hide, no place to disappear.
How do you cope and make the best of it
You sometimes want to die, give up and quit.

Just a prisoner
With no escape
Just a prisoner
Except my fate

When you got nothing you've got hope
Get on your knees and pray
Turn your problems over
And he will take them away

Open up your heart
And let that spirit in
What you thought was over
Is just about to begin

Everything you thought you hated
A blessing in disguise
Was path to get you on your knees
Before him, you realize

Futures as bright as it's ever been
And look how much you've grown
And the most important thing you've learned
Is, you are not alone.

You're not a prisoner
With no escape
You're not a prisoner
It's not too late

Your future bright and was meant to last
No need to go back, learn from your past
Responsibility has brought you here
You don't have to hide, all things are clear
He has given you the best of it
Born again and you'll never quit

You're not a prisoner
With no escape
You're blessed with love
And except that fate
