Orange offerings
ME:
I did get up at 8 a.m. but went back to bed. Got up for good at 2 p.m. It was a horizontal morning... At least the nightmare monsters stayed away.
Isn't this a great photo! I took it at the Rocky Mountain School of Photography. I loved how the tulips and oranges complemented the showing of photographs of food. I really liked the one of "Thyme".
So, last night did the First Friday crawl: Catalyst, Noteworthy (talked to Linda Stoudt about her work on sandpaper; she's a great cook by-the-way), Butterfly Herbs, Dana , New West (Hobie Hare [landscapes photos] and Eric Benson [clay] were exhibiting; got an idea for a poem from "Mr. Bouncy"; chatted with Terri.), Zootown Brew (Rick Landry does luminescent HD work on metal; It's worth a visit), The Little Gallery (Spoke with Laura Blaker who is doing 100 paintings this year... we talked about process and the need to keep working through the rough days; one year I did over 1,000 poetic sketches...; saw Jaime Bach!) and the WMLGBT Center where the theme was lamps from recycled material, some very well done.
So! Accomplished something.
Today, I went walking down the Kim Williams Trail... pushed by the wind. There were white-capped waves on the river... going upstream! At one point at the beginning of my walk there was sunshine and shadow and snowflakes all around. When I called my mother she said it was an unseasonal 83º there. Hmmm... cold here all day. Except when I sat in the window at Bernice's in the sun. Then I fried.
