This morning, inspiration has been the club hitting me over the head. I went out to get the newspaper about dawn and witnessed the neighbors putting up the American flag. On every national holiday, they put the flag in their front yard. Today, Martin Luther Kings, Jr. Day, is a national holiday and so they are flying the flag. The sight of them putting up the flag inspired today's post in Poet 999 - A Butterfly Emerges from Her Cocoon.

Next I opened the weather report that comes to one of my e-mail boxes. The subject line on that "A Series of Storms" and this inspired today's post in Poet 999's Thoughts about Writing and Other Stuff. After that, Mom made a remark about an invisible elf drinking her coffee and I thought that would be a good title for a story. So I'm writing a story about an invisible elf drinking coffee.

I'm looking forward to inspiration hitting me with the club again. I have 2,000 words to write today and I would like to get them written before 6:00 PM when I have to leave for the nineteen-day feast.
