Prompt for January 10: Research a pivotal event in the life of a favorite writer; blog on how this affected her/his work from that point forward. Ex: Stephen King's near-fatal accident in 1999
Born Fátimih Zarrín-Táj in 1817, she is better known as Qurran’l-‘Ayn (Solace of the Eyes) and Táhirih (Pure). The pivotal point in her writing and her life came when she accepted the Bab as a messenger from God, sometime after 1844. Táhirih never met the Bab in person, she accepted him as the results of a dream. Táhirih wrote mystic poem in the Persian tradition inspired by the Bab. She was one of the Letter of the Living (the first eighteen to declare their belief in the Bab) and the only woman in that group. As a result, of her belief in the Bab she was executed in 1852.
