Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches

I had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich today for supper. When I make this type of sandwich I spread the peanut butter on one slice of bread and then I spread the jelly on the other slice. Once the products are spread on the bread then I put the slices together and cut them diagonally. Today I put strawberry preserves on the sandwich instead of grape jelly.

When my mother cuts a sandwich in half she doesn't cut it diagonally. Mom cuts the sandwich straight down the middle, but I cut it diagonally. Another interesting difference between my mother and myself, she likes peanut butter sandwiches and she like jelly sandwiches, but not together.

When Mom makes me a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, it's neat. The jelly doesn't come out of the sandwich onto the plate or my hands. When I make the same type of sandwich for myself, it's sloppy. The jelly comes out of the sandwich onto the plate, my hands and cloths. I have to be extremely careful when I eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I make myself.
