new year
Went to the movies hoping to see "Avatar"----it was all soldout----saw "Invictus"instead. Lovely to see a movie based on a poem----''

Went to the new upscale movie house----large plush leather seats, parquet floors----no sticky gum on floors here. Impressive screen and sound quality-----seeing movies like this make it an "experience". Yes, it is expensive but worth the splurge. Still hoping to see "Avatar".

Impressive full moon....

Word for this year...."lacuna"....a gap, a hole, an extended silence in music, lacunar amnesia, a wealth of other definitions.

What is needed to fill the gap?

How much emptiness is needed?

in anatomy, bony protuberances....

there are lacunae in law, in translations of text, in equations....

I am an unreliable witness to my own experience.

black holes, emptiness, silence

enough to ponder for a year...
