The Continuing Saga of Prosperous Snow |
My response to the tenth prompt in the Frontliners 12 Day of blogging contest, which is to Free choice day for blog topic. The New Year’s New Car Smell A New Year always has that new car smell. You know the aroma I’m talking about, the one that smells like new upholstery before someone gets car sick, forgets to go to the bathroom before leaving the house or eats something that causes the runs without knowing where the next restroom is located. If we’re lucky, the new year new car smell last four to seven days. However, most of the time it passes quickly like a fart in an enclosed room without air conditioning. Air freshener, no matter how expensive it is, can never get the new car smell back into a car once its gone. 2010 started out so hopeful, with fireworks in Las Vegas and the ball dropping in Time Square. The new car aroma is still in the air, but it won’t remain long because we will turn on the news this evening or in the morning and find some disaster (either manmade or nature created) occurred. This is when we need to get out the air freshener, spray it in the air and say, “I will not let this affect my optimism.” “Today I will do what I can to make life more enjoyable for someone else and myself.” |
