Prompt #8: December 30, 2009

My response to the eighth prompt in the Frontliners 12 Day of blogging contest, which is to Literature ... BLOG about your favorite author/ novel/ non fiction/ or current read.

This close to the New Year of 2010, it’s time to consider the book or book I want to read. Several time I have attempted to read The Dawn-Breaker, Nabíl’s Narrative of the Early Days of the Bahá’i Revelation. This is a large book and difficult to read; however, I think it’s time I read the book completely through.

I need to read a little bit of the book everyday if I am to complete it in 365 days. I need to hold myself accountable and push forward even when the reading gets difficult. Some of the names in the book are hard to pronounce and, while I do read at a college level, sometimes I slack off when I come of a part that generates emotions.

Perhaps I need to blog or journal about the difficulties I encounter reading The Dawn-Breakers. I will start out on Friday, January 1, 2010 with the introduction to the book. I think I need to set aside a specific time each day to read.
