My blog--I pull a card--if it doesn't speak to me...perhaps it is for you? |
The four of fire is about holism and completion, it is about owning and reclaiming one's own power. The image from the GaianTarot shows a woman in the middle of a sacred circle lit with candles marking the four directions. Behind glows a full moon. Earlier today I received an e-mail from Christine from Abbey of the Arts https://http:www.abbeyofthearts.com She conducts a poetry party on her blog and today's invitation was to reflect on an image of a gate and the threshold on which we stand between this world and the worlds of our departed loved ones. As Los Dios de Los Muertes and All Soul's Day have recently passed it is an appropriate time for honoring our sacred ancestors. It was also just recently that the full moon passed. This card and the poetry invitation inspired me to think of my mother. I see her standing in this sacred circle inviting me into the dance of life, death, rebirth. Love never dies. The cycle continues...... My mother stands inside the gate of memory beckoning me forward into the sacred circle that she has cast. Tall candles mark the four directions flickering like the fireflies we gathered in jars and lined like votives across our coffee table while we prayed the rosary to the radio. Hail mother, full of grace, I remember thee, though your madness and your illness kept us distant during life, your nurturing still sustains me. Hail daughter, reclaiming grace, I have never forgetten thee, even throughout the madness I always cherished thee. Inside the sacred circle we dance ring around the rosary ashes to ashes you shall rise up I shall rise up All the worlds shall rise up. ![]() ![]() |
