Midnight Chomps

I just heard, from the forest, either horror-movie monster chomping noises, or deer hooves dancing about on the granite outcropping.  Heard a raccoon scree, too, I think. 

Garden's pretty much status quo this year-the cukes are merrily clambering up the chainlink of the dog pen,  the tomatoes are fruiting right along,  got basil, parsley, oregano, sage, lavender, more herbs,  some veggies, a few petunias and violets...
