Prompt 5
Xyiss and I finished our meals, paid the check and once again headed out of the small diner. As we walked a cool BREEZE rolled by, for some reason it gave me a cold chill down my spine, something just wasn't sitting right with me.
Xyiss looked over at me, he could tell I was discontent with something but wasn't quite sure what.
"What's wrong, Grey?"
I was snapped out of my thoughts when Xyiss spoke to me.
"You haven't called me Grey since we were little, Xyiss."
Xyiss looked ahead and ajusted his bag on his back.
"I kinda miss calling you Grey, I don't know why. I guess I'm just nostalgic."
I didn't say so but I had also missed Xyiss calling me Grey.
The DIRT kicked up heavily under our foot steps as we turned down an old road on the edge of town, there was a light RAIN and the breeze had become and strong gust.
We were taking this road to find an informer who had information we needed, he could only be found at the cross roads we were headed for and would only come when signaled by FIRE'S light. I was just unsure of how big a fire we needed to build and with rain coming in I was unsure if we would even be able to start a fire.
Xyiss and I decided to stop and set up our tent before the wether got to bad, we were going to continue our journey the next day and rest for the time being.
The tent took no time at all to set up and once inside warmth was easy to find.
The tent was small but just big enough for Xyiss and me to be able to lay down side by side and still have enough room to move about.
The rain beat dow hard on the roof of our tent, but it didn't seem to be doing any harm and the tent looked like it would hold.
As I drifted off to sleep I couldn't help but think about Eulariea, and as my eye's shut I could see her face.
I was wishing I had got the chance to talk to her, though that chance might have never come, I was still wishing it had.
Just before I fell asleep I couldn't help but dread the coming morning, I was unsure if the informant would have the answers we were looking for or not and the very thought of reaching a dead end in our quest discouraged me a little but I still held onto the hope that he would illuminate some of the darker parts of our past.
