Getting used to my lower plate

I’m having one tough time getting used to my lower dentures. The upper dentures were no problem; I can eat and talk with them in my mouth. The problem is the lower dentures. I’m having problems eating with them in my mouth.
On May 28, I return to the dentist for a soft line of the lower plate. Then perhaps I will have less difficulty eating with them in my mouth. I hope so, because I need some substantial food that I can chew easily. This morning I’m eating a Kaiser roll with jelly on it. I attempted to eat it with my lower plate in my mouth and got piece of bread under the lower denture.
Small crumbs of bread under your denture are uncomfortable. The upper plate doesn’t seem to get that much food stuck under it, but the lower plate appears to have issues with the food I’m eating.
