Blogging/Journaling/Complaining on an entirely inconsistent basis. |
If you are a writer, you probably are a reader also. I have discovered three websites that are wonderful for getting books you want and trading those books you are finished with--and all for only the price to mail the book asked from you. If you are one of those that keeps all their books, great. I could not possibly store all the books I had. Eventually, the mice and other varmints are drawn to them My favorite: http://www.paperbackswap.com This is my favorite site because it has more books and besides books they also have dvds, audiobooks, and other things. Joining is FREE. Then you simply list what you want to trade by listing the ISBN number and the site does the rest: Posting the book, supplying the cover picture, and usually a synopsis of the book. When a member asks for the book, you simply print off the mailing wrapper with the address, wrap it up well, and send it. Most postage is between $2.00-$5.00. The most common amount runs $2-$3. Then, wait for the postman to deliver the book to you. You get 1 point for all books, you get 2 points for all audiobooks. When you order a book, it costs you 1 point and if you order an audiobook, it will cost you 2 points. VERY SIMPLE. They have a Wish list for you to list the books you want and when they are posted, you will get an email that that book is available. My second favorite is http:/;/www.bookmooch.com This one works the same was as the above mentioned site. They don't have very many audiobooks or dvds, if any, but they have a nice site and a good selection of books. This site also has a Wish list for you to list the books you want and when they are posted, you will get an email that that book is available |
