This is my first attempt to be a blogger. I hope to type a few items that you will enjoy.

How to grade a year!
Well I think that the bells, whistles, and fireworks have stopped now. My head is very clear since I did not drink any alcohol. I will proceed with today as if it were a day in June or July. The reason is that the only call I got from the family was from a brother at about 10:00pm to see if I was okay. (Did he really care? Hm!)
But the purpose of this blog was to rate the year of 2008.
Add mumbles..........
Take away......and ...... and .....

Total grade computer sounds of beeps, whizzes and clicks
"D" with a small "plus" equals D+ if it is correct.
Last year sucks!
Yes I am still here but there were times that I might have floated around in my house with all of the tears that I cried. (can you picture that?)
Pumpkin died horribly by cancer.
Homewood was murdered.
Mama Tika died with kidney failure.
Hurricane Ike left me powerless for 12 days.
The flooring was less than satisfactory.
I never got my $600.00 stimulus money. :(
My car needed extra repairs.
My job was not fun.
I had NO Christmas.
Some moron fell on me and hurt my back by breaking a rib in the back area. And this same moron never apologized or offered to pay for the bills.
My cholesterol is still high.
I have gained weight. double :(
I might have cataracts.
The Houston Comets WNBA basketball team is no more because no one would buy it and keep it here. (Oh wow that hurts!)
The Astros did not make the playoffs.
My freelance job was nothing to brag about.
I did not win the lotto. (So many others had the same fate, but I am just thinking about myself.)
I had to get a second opinion about Dorianne, my cat, because her renal capacities are failing.
My house looks like a piece of _ _ _ _! I need to clean it, but have tried.
We might have a real loser for our national leader. (This is a definite wait-and-see situation.)
Now I might be nit pickey but I'll draw the line here.
On the positive side, there are not many.
I am still here.
I have a house and job.
My other cats, including the kittens are okay.
Dorianne is holding her own---thank God.
I have been given a wonderful acknowledgement at WDC. (bless you ladies and gentlemen!)
I am getting ready to go back to work soon.
So I think that I'll stop here. The key is to live each day at a time and try to be more positive. (Yes those little negative things/ideas sneak in from time to time and they are yucky.)
It is a new year. I know that I cannot count on one of my brothers now. His loss not mine. It's just that family was important to me. Too bad.
