Dec 22-New Years goals
Dec 22: FORGET NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

PROMPT:

Forget New Year's resolutions - I would like you to come up with goals for the next 1001 days. Don't worry, it doesn't have to be 101 goals, as I have planned, but at least five good goals that you'd like to accomplish in the next two and three-quarter years.

Five good goals.  Here goes.

I will to write daily (something, anything)
I will focus more on giving - reviews, my time, items in my home that I no longer need.
I will send off poetry to at least one contest, magazine or lit journal every month in 2009.
I will continue to be a student of life and learn more about non-reaction to other people's dramas (including my 3 yo's
outbursts) so that I can teach them through my actions to stop spinning and therefore stop the drama.
I will get back to playing music on the guitar to show my 7 yo the advantages of practicing music (so I will practice what
    I preach.)
I will get Tributaries published somewhere in the next 1001 days.
I will get the social issues poetry bound and mailed to some abuse shelters and women's shelters even if its not
    published elsewhere.
I will continue to stay connected and network with other authors and make a conscious effort to show my appreciation to
      them for what they write.
I will make more of an effor t to get to know my dad and some other relatives even if they haven't made so much effort
with me.  It will be my loss not theirs if they die without me getting the chance to do this.
I will work on being more organized at home and supporting my husband in his efforts to lose weight (walking with him,
etc) and hopefully losing a pound or two myself.
I will stay active in spiritual matters such as taking the children to church and taking part in the classes and letting the
boys stay active in their church community.
