In Remembrance of a Lunatic
"Invalid EntryOpen in new Window. sounds like it would be a good title for a collection of poems. If I were writing poems for a chapbook with this title, they would be bitter love poems. I like writing bitter love poems because it brings closure.

I have known a few people on the lunatic fringe. Individually they are likable and even loveable. Most mean no harm to either themselves or other people, they just want their opinions heard without someone laughing at them or telling them they are crazy.

Someone once said (I’m not sure who said it) that asylums wouldn’t come into their true use until all the sane people were locked safely inside them, while all the rest were left outside.

The word lunatic originally referred to a person who acted oddly during the full moon.
