When I was younger
men had walked on the moon
left their boot prints on another world
and we knew,
without a doubt that
we would be the generation
to colonize the planets of the solar system,
we would build domed cities on Mars,
farm Venus,
mine Saturn’s rings
and go to planets of other
star systems,
when I was younger.
