Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills. |
after Bee-wildered On my belly in mom's jungle I'm close enough to see my cross-eyed kitty staring at a flower and a bee. © 2008 Kåre Enga [165.144b] 2008-07-06 http://www.allposters.com/-sp/Bee-Wildered-Posters_i2923919_.htm I sent Gary Patterson's card to my friend Gary and told him to share my poem with his 5 year old son Gary. Either that's too many Garys ... or not enough. ME: Tired. I slept well, but it has been a long day. Moving here appears doable. It's the right time to look for a place and the prices 'real' folks mentioned are within my income range. Even met someone interested in a sublease. All before noon. By 3 pm I'd chatted with the governor of Montana ... yep, Brian Schweitzer was in town with his dog Jag http://governor.mt.gov/GovRandomPhotos/Govgallery.asp?category=GOV and I got my signed copy of the book written about him. Then I found out they have all the wonderful papers for making books up at the U. (they have courses too) and that there are various writer's groups and poetry readings around town. Ripley Hugo is having one this weekend. Her departed husband Richard Hugo has been a major influence on my prose poems. On the way back I ran into a Norwegian that recently lived in Lawrence, Kansas. I've been to Taco del Sol, Butterfly Herbs and The Break and will stop in at Liquid Planet this evening. The long long day is not over yet. I haven't been here 24 hours yet.
