Folks came by to see the place and want to rent it. That's good. Still need to finish packing. I may be out Saturday ... we'll see. I still plan on going on the road to visit; having a place, even a temporary one, will allow me to do so. So ... time to call Montana or North Carolina and find out about hotel prices. Still like the idea of a train trip to Seattle too. It would be a wonderful 3 day vacation. It would take me through SW Kansas, SE Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California (LA north), Oregon. The train is calming for me. The bus? Depends on whether it is crowded, over-booked, bad connections. Finger is getting better on the by-and-by. Storms. I measured a hailstone 3.2 cm. Had to put my satchel on top of my head to prevent getting clobbered. Went to seek shelter in the Park, but three of our finer addicts were using the space and not about to move or quit. Some things are very important, don't ya know? WRITING: Not much! Barely blogging and writing in my journal. Thinking a lot of my friend G and came up with the idea of him 'painting the sky blue' for me. Something to note and come back to. IMAGINE: everything in bloom; birds of all kinds, grackles with their iridescent purple heads, the white crested sparrow tolerating my presence; white hail pinging on the sidewalk, on metal, off my satchel protecting my head; the concentric rings of hail revealed as they melt. Kansas: 67º and storms to the west headed this way after midnight. 4402 |
