Jánakù
The Jánakù

______________________________________________________________________

A form that I found by accident... the Jánakù. (pronounciation: hay (na) ku )
The forum owner of "The World in Chapter and Verse" writes:
"The form was invented by Eileen Tabios. It is simple: A tercet comprised of one, two- and three-word lines. Variations can be created from the basic form.

The form was Inaugurated on June 12, 2003 (Philippine Independence Day) The form became popular and now It is used by poets all over the world. "

So... the explanation is very simple: a tercet comprised of one, two and three word lines. The example shown on the webpage is a poem written by Ernesto Priego...he wrote a book using this form.

~~~~~
My try:
Just a day in Spring...
count
the pink
blossoms you see
or
the birds
stealing peanuts away
light
highlighting leaves
in the tree
where
small birds
find their food
where
children find
shelter against sun
where
I enjoy
every single second
for
nature in
my back yard
on
a nice
day in Spring.
