Doubts
Doubts

At night,
after the decent hour to call out for help,
they come,
creeping in the back door,
looking to be fed.

Would there were only crumbs,
(perhaps they'd leave)
but I have storehouses enough for all.

They scurry
among the storage bins of sorrows
disrupt the jars of joy,
and I ...
I follow,
sweeping their living dust back under carpets,
hoping that there they will lie.

ON-LINE:

This site is wearing me out: http://city-data.com

Far too much data, but it has clarified some of my concerns.

Cities that don't look so good at the moment: Dubuque, IA; Bismarck, ND; Fargo, ND; La Crosse, WI.

Looking better: Iowa City, IA; San Marcos, TX; Minneapolis; Palm Springs, CA *Laugh*; Greater Atlanta; Southern Florida.

ME:

Plum worn out. Fighting on-line with Greyhound trying to figure out how to get from here to there to no avail.

My cousin's son will be graduating in March from the Army in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. It would be nice to visit. It's only a 5 hour drive. By bus? Why would I want to go through Saint Louis and not Joplin? If I visit Tulsa and then go there, it's quicker and less of a headache.

I found out I can get to Saint George, Utah easily but not Flagstaff, Arizona. Such are the vagaries of traveling in the U.S. San Marcos, Texas isn't an easy trip either (perhaps Austin ...). Iowa City? I can get there but not back!

So, I'm tired and hungry ... *Frown*

Kansas: 20º and dull, dull, dull, but dry. A balmy 40º in Missoula; 59º in Saint George; 74º in San Marcos.
