A Memoir of the Craft
"The book I find extremely helpful and inspirational in my writing is Stephen King's book On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft. I have read it multiple times already, and I'm reading it again.

Mr. King writes: This is not an autobiography. It is, rather, a kind of curriculum vitae - my attemp to show how one writer was formed.

I like that. Every writer from Ernest Hemmingway to James Patterson was formed by their life experiences - and it is in reading about those experiences and efforts to get their stories onto the printed page that inspire me to work hard to attain my own writing goals. It is definitely one of my favorites and I would recommend it to any writer." by J.P. Farris id# #1239164
