Aer Canada Mute geese, a vee of jet wings above the snowfields, leave in their wake rumbling mumbling thunder. © 2007 Kåre Enga [164.433b] 2007-12-22 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada_goose IMAGES: Horizontal snow; rattling windows; whistling wind; thundering snow; cold coming in the gaps of the windows; branches scraping lines in the snow; clearing sky and a peeking star; traffic backed up, moving slow; pumpkin with a white nightcap; a cardinal in flight, red against the white; snow caught by grooves in the old elm bark; smell of cinnamon apple and candle light. from page 1,445 of my journal (I started book 16 on the solstice). ME: I'm okay. Got up early for a change. Even saw the dawn. Ate my cream of chicken soup with oyster crackers and I'm on my third coffee for the day. I'm at Z's (it's Sunday). Hopefully my anxiety and frustration calms down now. I intend to clean house over the next two, three days, including my room. Might even find my winter caps. No idea where they went! Yesterday stayed at home. Friday was warm and sunny; today is cold and sunny. Yesterday: WEATHER: Sunny again! Only one cloudy day and that wasn't even grey, it was WHITE! We got about 5 inches and the wind howled, but last night we had crisp moon shadows and today bright sunshine under blue skies. At my mom's it's in the 50s still but howling before the storm hits this evening. Grey, grey, grey in Missoula. I'd miss the sun if I were to move there. Sun's addictive. Kansas: 27 degrees and sunny blue. 1452 |
