Tradition

Here's to blue balls
that hang with the pickle
that hides in the emerald tree.

Cut fresh from the forest
and set by your sofa
it perfumes the season for free.

Here's to the fir
now hung with blue balls
the pickle so hard to see.

And here's to the prickles
of finding the pickle,
our game: just you and me.
