Breezes waft with roasted corn, the whiff
of horseapples, the tug, the pluck,
the lug, of twenty pounds of gourd.

Wide open space. Out of my gourd
I live among the strip-malls, whiff
exhaust fumes draining all my pluck,

my energy. Oh to go pluck
pumpkins everyday! To lug mud-splattered gourds
across the fat ripe land, whiff

a whiff of horses, rotting apples, plucked ripe gourds.

A tritina just written this morning after reading an entry "Invalid Entry"  by Lauriemariepea . (The title is provisional)

I also loved all the Mensa wit and humor in "Invalid Entry"  in the blog of ShellySunshine . I can imagine any number of these being used as writing prompts: cashtration, ignoranus, bozone, inoculatte, osteopornosis, Karmageddon ...

Kansas: 58º, cool and cloudy. Thunderstorm last night. We are puddle-luscious once more. Normally, October is NOT this wet.
