Too purty to live in town.....

The Joseph saga continues.....I got a call today from the school. Joe was having another "moment" and received another referral. I met with Joe, the teacher and the dean. The problem today stems from his unwillingness to ask for help and exploding instead. We discussed the issue, and I had Joe role-play with the teacher, practicing saying, "May I have some help, please." Hopefully it will sink in.

He's staying after school today to get extra help from his science teacher in completing the assignments he hasn't turned in. Tonight, he has promotions in karate. He's testing for the first stripe on his orange belt. I hope he does well.

On a high note, to my surprise, I received first place in the 9/07 Writing that Makes an Impact contest!!! it was for my entry
