The ups and downs of being single in your 30's...early 30's that is. |
Last night I was reading through a magazine and came across a page dedicated to women writing into a doctor offering free advice. One question inparticular caught my attention. This women was concerned because she is sexually active and likes to bring toys into the action; however, she had just heard that using any toy made with plastic would lead to cancer. When I read that I of course chuckled...who had ever heard of getting cancer from a vibrator?! I continued to read where the doctor responded. Apparently there have been tests done and certain vibrators use a type of plastic that has been known to lead to cancer. Seriously?! This is blowing my mind! She did say that the plastics used for food storage and water bottles are more likely to lead to cancer than vibrators (I guess that is better ), but excessive use of a vibrator could eventually lead to it to. My first question is what is considered excessive? My second question is if this doctor is smokin' something or if this is really true? Would it help to wrap the vibrator in a condom? Sorry, I had to write that last question, it was cracking me up thinking about it!! |
