sleep

i want to lay my head upon the pillow
and sleep

i want to close my eyes
and sleep

i want to drift to a world where this can never touch me
and sleep

i want to wish away this horrible night
and sleep

this is a nightmare; make it go away
and sleep

so i go to bed early, pray it'll be gone in the morning
and sleep
