Toward the End of the Party
toward the end of the party

i'm told
that i either can
or cannot go to see

his body.

it is a hard decision:

to see his body for the last time,
cold and lifeless,
dark brown eyes once warm, blank

or

remember him as he was,
full of life
and love.



well.



i guess it's not such a hard decision
after all.
