Spam Memories
11 Jalal 164 B.E. – Thursday, April 19, 2007
When I was growing up Spam was a canned meat produce. My mother fixed it in various ways. Sometimes she sliced it, put it on white bread with mustard or ketchup, with onion and tomatoes. Other times she fixed it with mashed potatoes and gravy (there is nothing like the taste of spam gravy).
Slices of minced ham and government cheese
Placed between two slices of bread
Accompanied by mashed potatoes and gravy:
Memories of poverty and childhood.
