The real story of the OK corral I’ll tell you a story about the good ole’ days When outlaws ruled the land There guns would set a town ablaze As they took their last stand The biggest fight was at the OK corral Many men had died The posse of men had no rationale Honor in low supply Wyatt Earp a seeker of justice Sought to restore peace Riding upon his horse old Augustus His vigilance never ceased But there is a secret no one knows About that fateful day Dusty winds sent mighty blows Made Augustus go astray Around that time a serpent came out Striking the horse’s leg Wyatt fell off and let out a shout Landing on a rotten egg He rode with fury back into town Madness in his eyes Intending to shoot the outlaws down Catch them by surprise The outlaws caught wind of a mighty stink Jumping up they all ran Good ole’ Wyatt didn’t know what to think The fight hadn’t even began This is it.. the real story No gunfight ever took place I know all rumors speak of Wyatt’s glory Or of his courageous face Now you know the truth, just sit for a spell And ponder a little about it The outlaws ran because of the smell And they did it lickety split!
