WHAT’S THAT WHICH I NEED TO HAVE
WHAT’S THAT WHICH I NEED TO HAVE
What’s that which I need to have,
But which I have not got.
How to live, chasing wishes,
I have rather forgot.
Is it not enough I have
A body in good health.
For my two meals and a roof,
I have sufficient wealth.
I don’t need a palace, nor,
A Rolls-Royce to drive?
Without royal luxuries,
Why cannot I survive?
Much of the worldly woes are
Rather man’s creations,
Caused by unwillingness to
Curb his aspirations.
Simple living, high thinking,
Was the good old advice.
Lure of wealth has made, rather,
Simplicity, a vice!
