Life as a Budding Freelancer
Today is Valentine's Day.  My beloved is lying on the couch checking e-mail, I'm still in my pajamas, and I've got music from RadioParadise.com going on my computer.

Life is good.

Life would be better, however, if I were booking writing gigs. Today I am working on a writing resume.  It feels odd to look back on a 17 year career, that included a good bit of writing, and try to yank out all that stuff I did that now is very relevant to my survival.

Reinventing oneself is no easy task. I find it requires not only creative thinking, but some yoga and maybe a beer or two.

So, here I plug away, stalling, procrastinating, thinking that one priceless nugget of wisdom is going to pop into my head and make this writing resume the one thing that will launch a fabulous writing career.

But it ain't happenin'.

Anyone know where a wannabe writer can get a few starting paying gigs?
