3 Mulk 163 B.E. – Friday, February 09, 2007 The first day of the Ayyam-i-Ha starts the evening of February 25. At the feast on Tuesday, I volunteered at to read a poem at the Ayyam-i-Ha party. Therefore, I’m in the process of coming up with some new poems. It’s not that I don’t have any appropriate occasional poetry for the party. I’ve written one or two Ayyam-i-Ha poems. The problem is that I’m not happy with them, they need rewriting. So I either rewrite them or write new poems. I’m taking the opportunity to write some new poems. My problem is simple; I have no idea what I’m going to write about. I can choose from several themes that would be appropriate, but nothing jumps out at me. Of course, it something did jump at me I’d probably scream from the fright. I have a tendency to do that when people, cats and ideas surprise me from out of the blue. OK, so much for attempted at humor, I started this entry earlier, but got sidetracked finishing the judging of the Potpourri Contest, which I should have completed last month. Anyway, this entry started out as a brainstorming session for new poems, but it seems it’s going to be more a rambling trip than looking for themes for Ayyam-i-Ha poems. In addition, I need to do a brainstorming session for the Bonus Challenge for Follow the Leader: A Journaling Contest. I’ve decided on an approach to the Challenge. I think what I’ll do right now is end this entry, post it and go to bed. |
