AN ISLAND BEACH I want to get out of this rut, Where man is a machine. I spend all time with computer, The cell and limousine. Too far from nature, I live in A jungle of concrete. My house is air-conditioned, I don’t know cold or heat. I wish I could get out and go To a white mountain top, Where in the silent vastness, time Does virtually stop. I wish one day I find myself In a hot air balloon, Drifting along with air currents To go nowhere, nor soon. Else, I wish on an island beach, I find myself one day, Where worries are washed out to sea, Not to come back, I stay. • Written in abcb, 8-6-8-6 format. • REQUEST—While reviewing, please copy and paste the following in your review: This is a review for “entry:484706".
