L'aura del campo EARLY WINTER?: 2 Sharaf (1 January) 37º and clear. 'é a lua, é a lua, na quintana dos mortos' ♣ Federico García Lorca ♣ Beautiful sunny day and reasonably mild. The dusting of snow we got yesterday is all gone. I'm at La Prima Tazza trying to write out this entry and do some reading. I'm not accomplishing much. Monday and there still are very few people in Blogville writing and/or reading. Folks are busy, of course. chalaedra is back, so go visit! Me? Not that energetic. I am hoping I'm not catching bronchitis again. Not sleeping well so I'm almost always tired. At the moment uncomfortably warm, hopefully not feverish. Strange birds A strange flock of birds gather in the lee of wind, like grey rags huddled under last autumn's leaves; they accept the fate of the falling snow. They come and go, yet every day the chant is heard in their begging words, the clink of bottles passed mouth to mouth, the embers of cigarettes warming fingers; they can't feel their toes. Who knows who will meet the fowler's fate this cold December, who will be found come March's melt of snow. Try it." Related by Carole Pilante. What her son said to her when he was 3 and she was being bothered by some light. I was telling Carole how I can't sleep with a light shining in my face. 13,026 views ** Image ID #1134108 Unavailable ** Kare Enga |
