MY TIME WILL COME
MY TIME WILL COME
Though I’m today downtrodden, yet,
I know one day my time will come.
I will be at top of the world,
Though, today, I am like the scum.
Though I’m at the end of the race,
I won’t give up, till end I’ll run.
You will see me victorious.
I need not trumpet my own drum.
It’s true I have wasted my time,
But not sleeping, as allege some.
Failing in efforts is no crime.
I could not sing but I did hum.
I will outdo all those who say
That I am but a lazy bum.
I will work hard and persevere.
Mine will be the final outcome.
