I Remember
I remember the day
When we first met
You smiled at me
And the mood was set.
I remember your laugh
And the look on your face
The very first time
You and I embraced.
I remember the hurt
Within your voice
The last time we talked
And you made your choice.
I remember the pain
In my heart and the tears in my eyes
As we spoke on the phone
And we said our last good-byes.
I remember the days
We saw each other
After you I know
There won't be another.
I remember all the dreams
The plans I had for us
I know there won't b eanother man
I'll ever learn to trust.
I remember the vow
That I made to you
That the love I felt
Would always be true.
I remember my heart
Slowly starting to break
Now there's so many promises
I could make.
I remember the life of mine
I wanted to share with you
But you left me alone to cry
Didn't you love me too?
Why did you leave
Please don't lie
To try to stop
These tears I cry.
I remember the day
We first met
That's one day of my life
I know i'll never forget.
